Susan brings over 36 years of corporate HR experience, including 16 years as Chief HR Officer for Fortune 150 and Fortune 500 companies. Her extensive background spans multiple industries and global leadership roles, having lived and worked outside of the United States, giving her a profound understanding of challenges faced by leaders across various sectors and cultures.
As the former SVP and Chief HR Officer for Applied Materials and Rockwell Automation, Susan has implemented innovative strategies that drive employee engagement, foster inclusive cultures, and deliver exceptional performance. Her work in creating a Culture of Inclusion at Rockwell Automation led to the company winning the prestigious Catalyst Award.
Susan is the author of "Healing at Work", with co-author Martha I. Finney, offering a groundbreaking approach to accelerating human potential and performance. She leverages her personal experiences as an Adult Survivor of a Damaged Past (ASDP) and her work with gifted and complex leaders to provide unique insights about leadership and personal growth.
A Fellow of the National Academy of Human Resources, Susan also serves as a volunteer coach for new Chief HR Officers through the NAHR. Her coaching approach combines proven models, actionable strategies, and insights from neuroplasticity and positive psychology. She is known for her ability to quickly diagnose leadership needs, provide measurable paths forward, and create safe spaces that allow leaders to think beyond limits and live more courageously.
